Brand Identity

PROJECT FIRKIN

Project Firkin is a campaign launched by Charles Faram, a long-standing hops distributor. Its goal is to bring brewers together around traditional cask beer. Rather than a hard-sell marketing push, Project Firkin offers education and opportunities to collaborate, encouraging participants to celebrate the heritage and innovation of their craft.

Charles Faram hired me to create a Brand Starter Kit for Project Firkin. The visual identity of this project needed to convey the modern revival of an old-world tradition. Project Firkin is a celebration of a timeless craft, inspired by its history but evolving around new ideas. The look of the project had to be in conversation with Charles Faram branding while maintaining a unique identity, giving participants that special feeling of being part of an exclusive club.

I opted for a vintage modern aesthetic, incorporating the Charles Faram hops logo into a barrel as a nod to the cask fermentation the project celebrates. It was especially important that the logos look great on a wide array of merchandise, from hats to shirts to stickers to beer cans, so that participants could proudly contribute to the visual storytelling of Project Firkin.

Taylor does an amazing job at listening to your vision and bringing it to life!
