Pizza di Citoli is a handcrafted sourdough pizza catering and pop-up service founded by Nick, a certified pizzaiolo whose pandemic hobby became a full-blown obsession. Nick brings a level of craft and intention to his pizza that is rare in the catering world, from his Parma-certified technique to his locally milled Pacific Northwest flour. He needed a brand identity that could hold that story and wear it proudly at breweries, backyard weddings, and private events in the neighborhood.
Nick opted for a Brand Starter Kit to establish the visual and verbal foundation of his growing business. He came with a clear instinct: classic Italian palette, nothing too busy, classy but not stiff. From there, we built something that matched the care he puts into every pizza.
The color palette leans into the Italian tricolor with intention: a bold tomato red, deep forest green, and warm cream. A checkered trim threads through the system as a recurring motif, nodding to the pizzeria's tradition without taking itself too seriously.
The wordmark gives the brand a personality that feels both handcrafted and confident. But the real heart of the identity is the dog, Tali, a charming, energetic figure that captures the spirit of the operation perfectly: neighborhood-rooted, a little scrappy, full of character. ‘See you in the backyard’ says it all: warm, casual, and completely Nick.
